Medal confirmed on roll. A slightly later issue, awarded on 11th October 1909 (the medals for this campaign were issued to most recipients in 1899). The regimental muster rolls record 984 Private George Walker, 4th Battalion Rifle Brigade, as having purchased his discharge in February 1867.
