Medal accompanied by copied Medal Index card, WW1 medal roll and copied medal roll for the General Service Medal 1918-62, which confirms Preston as having seen service in Iraq with the 8th Royal Irish Hussars during the post-war years (entitled Campaign Service Medal with Iraq clasp, in addition to being entitled to a Victory Medal). Medal Index card confirms Preston as having initially seen service as 4768 Private, Royal Irish Regiment and subsequently 533824 Private, 8th Hussars.
