PRIVATE H. EDGINTON, 9TH BATTALION ROYAL FUSILIERS. 1914-15 Star (officially impressed: 8336 Pte. H. EDGINTON R.FUS:). Almost Extremely Fine, and accompanied by a King Edward VII 1902 School Board for London Prize Medal for 1904 named to “J.” Edginton.

Medal accompanied by copied extract 1911 census return, WW1 Medal Index cards (2) and medal rolls (2). Harry Edginton is recorded in the 1911 census as a 17 year old apprentice brass finisher resident in Lambeth with his parents, William and Sarah and sister Florrie. He first saw active service in France during WW1, entering that theatre of operations on 1/6/1915.

There are two Medal Index cards for recipient, one with surname spelt Edginton and the other with surname spelt Edgington. Recipient also entitled British War and Victory Medals.
