Archibald Sinclair, born Kirkintilloch, Dumbartonshire, enlisted into the Northumberland Fusiliers at Glasgow, 10/1/1871. At the time of enlistment he was 19 years and 4 months old, and gave his trade as labourer. He was discharged on 20/5/1892, after 21 years and 157 days reckonable service with the colours. In addition to service at home, Sinclair saw service in India, 1880-92. At the time of discharge, Sinclair’s conduct was described as having been “exemplary”. The Army LSGC was his sole medal entitlement.
