PRIVATE T. ROBINS, 1ST BATTALION KING’S SHROPSHIRE LIGHT INFANTRY. India General Service Medal 1908-35, 1 clasp, North West Frontier, 1930-31 (officially named, impressed in plain block capitals: 4029848 PTE. T. ROBINS. K.S.L.I.). Attractive rainbow toning, Extremely Fine, and with a length of original ribbon.
Medal accompanied by copied extract medal roll, dated Delhi Cantonment, 30/9/1934, confirming medal and clasp and that, at the time the roll was drawn up, Private Robins had transferred to the Army Reserve.
Since Robins transferred to the Army Reserve circa September 1937, he may well have been recalled for service during WW2. The medal thus perhaps worthy of further research in this regard.
