Medal accompanied by copied Medal Index card confirming 1914 Star and that Frank J. McKenna initially saw service in the France as 8960 Rifleman with the 1st Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, entering that theatre of operations on 6/11/1914 (the 1st Battalion Royal Irish Rifles landed as a unit at Havre on 6/11/1914) and saw service initially with the 25th Brigade, 8th Division. McKenna was promoted Acting Corporal and subsequently saw service with the Royal Engineers.
