Contemporary tailor’s copy clasps, extensive surface contact marks (obverse and reverse), rim nicks and contact marks partially obscuring naming details (as indicated) and the letters “TY” of ARTY being beneath and obscured by the suspender claw, otherwise Good Fine and perhaps a little better and with a length of original ribbon.

In February 1862 the Bengal Horse Artillery transferred from the East India Company’s Bengal Presidency Army to the Royal Artillery, the 1st Troop, 3rd Brigade, Bengal Horse Artillery becoming F Battery, 2nd Horse Brigade.
