LANCE SERGEANT W. CONRAN, 2ND BATTALION DUKE OF CORNWALL’S LIGHT INFANTRY. Egypt Medal 1882-89, undated reverse, 1 clasp, The Nile 1884-85 (officially impressed: 1707 L. SERJT: W. CONRAN. 2ND. D. OF C. Lt. INFTY:). Late issue, naming impressed in similar style to that seen on medals issued for service in the Boer War, light contact marks from the Star, Good Very Fine.

Medal accompanied by copied extract medal roll, confirming medal and clasp. Medal roll also confirms that Conran was serving with the 2nd Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry whent the roll was drawn up at Cairo on 24/9/1885, that his medal was subsequently forfeited, but restored on 10/7/1903.
