Official correction to the letter C in R.A.M.C., heavy diagonal contact mark on obverse, stretching from Queen Victoria’s chin to her left shoulder (approx. 20mm long and 3mm wide) and the medal disc slightly buckled as a result, otherwise Extremely Fine.

Medal accompanied by photocopied extract from medal roll of the 2nd Brigade Bearer Company, R.A.M.C., dated Elandsfontein, 9/7/1902, confirming clasps and noting that recipient was transferred to Durban 10/4/00, invalided home 4/5/00. Soldiers Papers not traced.
